The BSE’s 30-share benchmark index- Sensex is expected to open on a cautious note on Wednesday as the Asian markets were bleeding in red in the early trading session. However, investors back home are likely to take some risks after the Lok Sabha has passed the Land Acquisition Amendment Bill.
Meanwhile, the US stocks also ended lower in the overnight trading amid some weakness in oil and surge in the US dollar. Among the Asian stocks, Japan’s Nikkei 225 was trading down by 125 points at 18,665; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was at 23,896, down by 226 points; Singapore’s Straits Times was trading down by 6 points at 3,398; and China’s Shanghai Composite was at 3,287, down by 15 points.
