Paring some of the last trading session’s losses, the BSE’s 30-share bellwether index is likely to open on a flat note on Friday. However, the investors will remain on the sidelines amid Yemen woes. Arab nations have started air strike on Yemen targeting Houthi rebels, a concern that could disrupt crude oil supplies in various countries.
In the overnight trading, US stocks ended on a lower note, following which most of the Asian markets opened weak today. China’s Shanghai Composite was at 3,662, down by nearly 20 points; Taiwan Index was trading down by 86 points at 9,532; and Hang Seng was at 24,450, down by 47 points. Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Singapore’s Straits Times were, however trading in green, up by 93 and 9 points respectively in the early trading session.
