The 30-share bellwether index of the Bombay Stock Exchange- Sensex is expected to open in red as investors will remain on sidelines ahead of expiry of March derivative contracts this week. The weak Asian cues are further likely to weaken risk taking appetite of investors on the domestic front. In the overnight trading, US stocks ended lower, following which most of the Asian markets opened lower on Tuesday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 was trading down by 40 points at 19,713; Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down by 105 points at 24,389; and Taiwan Index was at 9,728, down by nearly 30 points.
