The Indian equities are likely to extend losing streak for the fifth straight session on Tuesday, tracking weak cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and negative trend across the Asian markets. Overseas, markets across Asia were trading lower after Wall Street ended lower in overnight trade amid fear that the new Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell may announce a hike in interest rates tomorrow, while US President Donald Trump’s protectionist trade measures also weighed on investor sentiment. Back home, bearish trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for March delivery, which was trading at 10,079.50, down by 35.50 points.
