The key domestic benchmarks are likely to open higher today tracking a firm trend in fellow Asian markets and a record high closing at Wall Street overnight amid robust US corporate earnings data. China’s Shanghai Composite and Hang Seng rose after regulators announced the start of a trading link between bourses in China and Hong Kong from November 17. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rallied after Japan’s current account surplus came in at 963 billion yen in September, against an estimated 537.7 billion yen, signaling a strong recovery in the world’s third biggest economy. IT stocks may witness negative movement after rating agency CRISIL said that job growth in the sector may fall by 50 per cent in the next 4 years. Investors may also be cautious ahead of October consumer inflation data, and September industrial output numbers due tomorrow, which may have an impact on the RBI’s December policy decision.
