Indian equities may start on positive note on Wednesday, tracking bullish trends in SGX Nifty Index Futures and firm cues from global peers. Overseas, the Asian stocks were trading higher, following strong closing at Wall Street in the overnight trade, as investor cheered robust US earnings reports. Back home, bullish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for October delivery, which were trading at 10,700.50, up by 115.50 points.

Indian equities may begin the week on a negative note, tracking bearish trend across SGX Nifty Index Futures and muted cues from global peers. Overseas, most of the Asian stocks, including Japan, China and South Korea, remained closed on eve of public holidays. The remaining Asian stocks were trading lower after media report suggested that China has canceled upcoming tariff talks with the United States. Back home, bearish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for September delivery, which were trading at 11,194.50, down by 26.50 points.

Overseas, Asian stocks were trading higher, following strong closing of US stocks on Friday, as investors kept an eye on proposed China-US trade talks, while movement of the Chinese yuan and Turkish lira will be also under scanner, Reuters reported. Back home, firm trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for August delivery, which were trading at 11,521.50, up by 43.50 points.
