Pre-market: Sensex to open flat amid mixed global cues: 05/03/2015

The Indian benchmark indices are likely to open on a flat note on Thursday as investors may like to book profits after the sharp rise in markets for the last few days post Union Budget and RBI rate cut. 

On the global front, US stocks ended lower in the overnight trading at 4,967, down by 12 points. Asian markets were trading on a mixed note on Thursday with Japan’s Nikkei 225 at 18,748, up by over 45 points in the early trading session. On the other hand, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were trading down by 26 and 139 points at 3,253 and 24,326, respectively.
