Pre-market: Positive global cues to lift Indian markets; Maruti, ICICI bank Q4 nos eyed: 27/04/2015

The Indian benchmark indices are likely to open in green on Monday tracking positive cues from the global markets. Nevertheless, direction of the markets later will be decided by ICICI Bank and Maruti, which will announce their Q4 numbers today. While net profit of automobile giant is expected to increase by over 40 per cent, the Q4 numbers of ICICI Bank are likely to remain flat. Overnight, the US markets ended higher, following which most of the Asian markets opened in green today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was trading at 28,458, up by 397 points; China’s Shanghai Composite was trading above 94 points at 4,488; and Taiwan Index was at 9,977, up by over 60 points in the early trading session. On the flip side, Japan’s Nikkei 225 and KOSPI were trading marginally lower, down by 1.74 and 3.24 points, respectively.
