The BSE’s 30-share benchmark index- Sensex is expected to open marginally higher amid mixed Asian cues. While China’s Shanghai Composite, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and Taiwan Index were trading higher; Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Singapore’s Straits Times capped the gains and were trading in red, down by 96 and 5 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, the US stocks ended positive in the overnight trading following a hike in oil prices. Nasdaq closed at 5,011, up by 33 points in the previous trading session. Back home, the IT stocks will remain in focus ahead of the release of quarterly earnings of key players TCS and Mindtree later today. On Wednesday, the BSE SENSEX closed at 28799.69, down by 244.75 points or by 0.84 per cent and the NSE’s wide-based Nifty was at 8750.2, down by 83.8 points or by 0.95 per cent.
