Taking cues from global peers, the Indian benchmarks may open on flat note on Wednesday after a hefty selling in the last trading session. The flat opening of Nifty India stock futures in Singapore further validates the muted opening for the Indian equities. The market is likely to react to economic data, CPI and IIP, which were released post market hours on Tuesday. Consumer price inflation (CPI) cooled to a four month low of 4.87 per cent in April, while industrial output growth slowed to 2.1 per cent in March.
