The key domestic benchmark indices continued to trade in red during the late noon trading session amid weak cues from the global peers and profit-booking in key frontline shares.
Renewed fears over a US interest rate hike in the near-term after comments from a top Fed official who backed the case for a rate hike soon, also curbed risk taking appetite.
Among the sectors, TECK and auto were on the seller’s radar, declining 0.49 per cent and 0.38 per cent respectively.
On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a mixed note, while European counters were hovering in red.
