* AUTOMOBILE: Skoda Auto India launched the 'Octavia RS 230' at an ex-showroom price of 2.5 mln rupees. Hyundai Motor India's domestic vehicle sales in August were up 9% on year at 47,103 units.

* BANKING: Aditya Birla Group's proposed payments bank is expected to start operations by December 2018, group head Kumar Mangalam Birla said.
