Indian benchmark indices are likely to open flat on Tuesday, tracking soft cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and mixed trend across global peers. Markets across Asia were trading higher, undermining negative close on Wall Street. In the overnight trade, US stocks ended lower, weighed down by losses in health care companies and banks, while caution prevailed in the market ahead of second-quarter earnings report which could be softer than initially anticipated after damage from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Back home, muted trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for October delivery, which were trading at 10,019.00, down by 3.00 points.
