Pre Session: Gap up opening seen for Sensex, Nifty; Allahabad bank, Canara Bank Q4 eyed

Indian benchmark indices are likely to bell the day in positive terrain on Friday, tracking bullish trend in Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and firm trading across the global markets. Overseas, Asian stocks were trading higher, mirroring positive closing of Wall Street in overnight trade, as investor cheered decline in US inflation data, which shrugged-off fears that Federal Reserve would hike interest rate aggressively. Adding to it, optimism over trade talk between US President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un at a summit in Singapore next month, also boosted market sentiment. Back home, firm trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for May delivery, which were trading at 10,796.50, up 65 points.
