* ADITYA BIRLA CAPITAL: International Finance Corp has extended a seven-year long-term loan of 10 bln rupees to the company's subsidiary Aditya Birla Finance.

* BANK OF MAHARASHTRA: The Pune branch of the bank is in the process of closing or merging 51 of its branches across India by the end of December.

* BSE: Has entered into a licensing agreement with London Metal Exchange to enable it to use prices of LME's base metal futures contracts for settlement of its proposed launches in the base metal segment.

* CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA: Is unlikely to participate in the proposed 45-bln-rupee rights issue of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services.

* COAL INDIA: Has appointed S. Sarkar as the chief financial officer, effective Monday.

* DEWAN HOUSING FINANCE CORP: Made timely payments of interest and principal on its nonconvertible debentures on Wednesday.

* FEDERAL BANK: The Reserve Bank of India imposed a penalty of 50 mln rupees on the bank for
violations and non-compliance of various regulatory norms.

* GAIL INDIA: Essar Group has started supply of gas produced from coal seams to the company.

* GATI: The company said the management is still evaluating the opportunities as per the direction
given by the board for opportunities to induct a strategic partner.

* HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: Raised prices of aluminium ingots, billets, and wire rods by nearly 2% with effect from Tuesday.

* HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE CORP: Sold loans worth 60.59 bln rupees to HDFC BANK in three months ended September, a sharp increase from 35.31 bln rupees in the year-ago period but lower than 97.14 bln rupees in Apr-Jun.

* IDBI BANK: The Securities and Exchange Board of India has accepted the bank's request to issue equity shares to Life Insurance Corp of India on a preferential basis.

* JB CHEMICALS AND PHARMACEUTICALS: The company has said its buyback offer worth up to 1.3 bln rupees for over 3.33 mln shares will open on Oct 10.

* JET AIRWAYS INDIA: Has received fifth Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, of the 11 MAX aircraft, that the company plans to include in its fleet in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar). Has defaulted on the payment of September salary to other categories of employees as well.

* LIC HOUSING FINANCE: Has increased its retail prime lending rate by 10 basis points, effective Monday.

* NATIONAL ALUMINIUM CO: Hiked prices of aluminium alloy ingots and sow ingots by 2% from Monday, after a cut of similar quantum in the middle of September.

* NBCC (INDIA): The Delhi High Court allowed the company and Central Public Works
Department to start redevelopment work at six of the seven housing projects of New Delhi after the Centre submitted revised plans for these colonies.

* NLC INDIA: Board will meet on Tuesday to consider the buyback of shares.

* OIL & NATURAL GAS CORP: Has awarded an integrated work package contract to a consortium of Baker Hughes GE, McDermott International, and Larsen and Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering for developing a deepwater KG-DWN-98/2 block (Cluster-2)in Krishna Godavari basin in the Bay of Bengal.

* PIRAMAL ENTERPRISES: Wholly-owned subsidiary Piramal Capital & Housing Finance plans to raise up to 1.35 bln rupees through the issue of bonds maturing on Oct 3, 2025, and has invited bids for quantum of funds.

* PUNJAB CHEMICALS & CROP PROTECTION: has repaid all outstanding dues to BANK OF BARODA.

* PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK: Has made recoveries of 130 bln rupees from non-performing assets in Apr- Sep mainly through the resolution process under the bankruptcy code.

* RELIANCE CAPITAL: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has registered subsidiary Reliance Health Insurance as a standalone health insurer.

* RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS: Said the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal had granted a stay on the Department of Telecommunications' 29-bln-rupee bank guarantee demand.

* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: Arm Reliance Jio Infocomm has surpassed BHARTI AIRTEL to become the second-largest telecom operator in terms of adjusted gross revenue in the quarter ended June, according to data from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

* SHRIRAM TRANSPORT FINANCE CO: Has terminated the corporate guarantee given to non-convertible debentures worth 6.50 bln rupees issued by SVL Ltd, with immediate effect.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance will meet representatives from Life Insurance Corp of India and the bank to discuss issues related to beleaguered Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services on Oct 30 in Mumbai.

* STERLING BIOTECH: Promoter Sandesara group has submitted a one-time proposed settlement of the company's dues to public sector banks and financial institutions. A Delhi court took cognisance of a supplementary charge sheet in connection with the over 50 bln-rupee-bank loan fraud case involving the company, against a man arrested for allegedly sending 2.5-mln-rupee cash to a senior Congress leader's residence.

* TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES: Has fired an employee in Kolkata who sent rape and death threats on social media to two women.

* TATA STEEL: Subsidiary Tata Steel Special Economic Zone aims to execute definitive agreements with four investors within two months for its multi-product industrial park at Gopalpur in southern Odisha.

* TORRENT PHARMACEUTICALS: A social media campaign has hit the company, which accuses it of defrauding clearing and forwarding agents of about 450 mln rupees.

* TVS MOTOR CO: Has further invested 300 mln rupees in its subsidiary TVS Credit Services. Sales of the company's Apache RTR 160 4V scooter have crossed the 100,000-unit mark within six months of its launch.

* VEDANTA: The Madurai bench of the Madras High Court has stayed the State Industrial Promotion Corp of Tamil Nadu order withdrawing land allotted to subsidiary Sterlite Copper for its proposed expansion of doubling capacity at Tuticorin.
