* ECONOMY: The Fifteenth Finance Commission will undertake a reconciliatory exercise to establish the reliability of data in public domain.
* FUNDS: The Securities and Exchange Board of India has asked mutual fund houses to provide details of the artificial intelligence and machine learning-based applications or systems used by them as part of fund management, on a quarterly basis.
* STEEL: ArcelorMittal expects growth in demand for steel across the globe, barring China, to stand at 1-2% this year, against the earlier expected 2-3%. The government has extended the anti-dumping duty on ductile iron pipes imported from China by 45 days.
* SUGAR: Sugar companies that have already exhausted their export quota for 2018-19 (Oct-Sep) are now asking the government to increase their quota by giving the share from mills that are finding it difficult to export.
