Pre Session- Sensex, Nifty to open flat; Intellect Design Arena shares in focus

The Indian benchmark indices are likely to remain volatile on Wednesday ahead of the expiry of June series futures & options (F&O) contracts. Asian stocks fell after Federal Reserve officials tempered expectations in the markets for aggressive monetary easing. On Wallstreet, indexes slipped on Tuesday, led by a sharp selloff in technology shares, as simmering trade concerns and disappointing economic data sent buyers to the sidelines. Oil prices rose over 1 per cent amid fall in US stockpiles and Middle East worries. On the currency front, the Indian rupee ended flat at 69.36 against the US dollar. Back home, bearish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for June delivery, which were trading at 11,772.50 down by 20.00 points.
