* INFRASTRUCTURE: Buoyed by the success of its rural roads programme in its first tenure, the government is set to announce a 700-bln-rupee road building project over the next five years, linking villages with nearby mandis to boost the rural economy.
* RETAIL: Walmart Inc has earmarked $1.2 bln to fund the operations of India's e-retailer Flipkart, the former said in a notice to the US Securities Exchange Commission.
