Pre-Session: Positive start on cards for Sensex, Nifty

Domestic benchmarks are expected to start the day on a positive note on Tuesday tracking cues from the global peers. Trends on SGX Nifty also indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India. Nifty futures were trading around 11,236-level on the Singaporean Exchange. Investors will also keep an eye on quarter earnings. As many as 74 companies will declare their results for the quarter ended June later todat which include names like Axis Bank, Bank of India, Dish TV, Gujarat Gas, Hero MotoCorp, NMDC, PNB Housing, Repro India, Shoppers Stop, Tech Mahindra, United Bank of India, and VIP Industries etc. among others. On Monday, the 30-share benchmark index closed at 37686.37 down by 196.42 points or by 0.52 per cent NSE Nifty was at 11189.2 down by 95.1 points.
